Dennis a été le 1er maitre de stage de Julie ( l’heroine de la fiction) Il est resté un mentor pour elle. Il est maintenant retraité après une longue carrière en finance dans des banques. Il est installé dans un coin tranquille à New York Julie est d’origine Anglaise et travaille à Paris. Le dialogue se fait en Anglais. Julie lui explique que dans son travail à Paris, L’IA a été implémenté et que cela risque de mettre au chômage une dizaine de personnes. Elle s’inquiète de la situation. Dennis va la rassurer en lui expliquant que les progrès techniques transforment le travail mais créent aussi des emplois. Dennis will reassure her by explaining that technological advancements transform work but also create jobs.
